The Young Bulls travelled to Chepstow in a second round tie of the WRU Youth Plate Competition, making a couple of changes amongst this strong squad of players.
The game was a stop start affair partly due to the difficult freezing conditions, but Bargoed were good value for their 31-3 victory with five tries scored through busy scrum half Ieuan Morgan (2), outside half Rhys Thomas, Captain and back-rower Luke Cusack and a penalty try, with Rhys Thomas also notching three conversions.
This talented squad now move into the third round and eagerly await the draw for the challenge ahead.
There is no game in the fixture list this week, so the squad will look to regroup and build on their recent success by continuing to work hard in training, as there are some big games on the horizon in both the cup and league.
