Bargoed entertained local rivals and Dragons A League side Senghenydd in a Caerphilly District Cup tie.
Bargoed came out on top in an entertaining game with tries from Jake Rees, Ieuan Morgan and Jack Price and points from the boot from Rhys Thomas seeing them come out as deserved 22-5 winners against a good Senghenydd outfit.
Bargoed were well organised and structured in both attack and defence, and created some good opportunities in attack. Jack Price was effective with his ball carrying on the front foot, and the pack in general were effective.
Man if the match was Dan Mayo who was outstanding in both attack and defence
One of the areas for improvement is their discipline, and a need to get a low penalty count and not give cheap penalties away.
There were plenty of positives though as the boys look to have a successful end to what has been a great season to date.
