Bargoed Warriors travelled to Senghenydd in a friendly and came away with a 48-0 win against a dogged home side. There were tries for Ian Jenkins 2, Luke Cusack 2, Robert Carey, Jack Carey, Ieuan Morgan and Lewys Lippiett, with four conversions for Luke Ellaway.
The Youth also had a good win and go from strength to strength with good numbers available again this week. They came out on top against Bedwas in another league encounter, and scored tries through Lewis Cooper 4, Jake Rees, and Keaton Davies with Rhys Thomas converting 4 and a penalty to win 45-3.
Bargoed RFC have been notified that they have retained their A licence for the forthcoming season, and are delighted that all the hard work that goes into it is recognised by the WRU.
This week the 1st XV are home to Maesteg Quins in the league. The Warriors travel to Rhiwbina in a National Conference fixture and the Youth make the short journey to face Blackwood in the league.
It was good to see a number of Bargoed players representing the Rhymney Valley under 15’s recently and others representing the Gwent Dragons under 16’s.
On Saturday evening there is live music at the club as Classic.Co will be playing there.
