It was a good weekend for Bargoed RFC last weekend with all three ‘Saturday’ sides recording wins.
The 1st XV got a bonus point win at old rivals Tata Steel with a 45-5 victory to keep them in the hunt at the top of the National Championship, as they closed the gap on leaders Pontypool.
The Warriors also won 31-24 at home in a tough encounter with Brecon in the National 2nd XV Conference, as they also look to maintain the challenge at the top of the table. They currently lie second behind Cardiff Met with two games in hand and a 9 point deficit to make up.
The Youth also won on the road 5-0 as they came out on top in a tight encounter against Chepstow.
On Friday 31 January the Youth are in action playing Cwmbran away, kicking off at 7.00 pm in another Dragons League encounter. Get along and support the boys.
Well done from all at Bargoed RFC to talented under 16 back rower Charlie Davies who played for the Dragons under 16’s on Wednesday against the Scarlets.
The club is open on Saturday, so get down there and support Wales in the Six Nations opener.
