The Warriors travelled to Rhiwbina looking to build on last week’s performance in a National Conference fixture. They came away with a 28-5 victory with tries from Luke Ellaway, Niall Alexander, Luke Smalley and Lewys Lippiett with Ellaway converting all four.
This was a stuttering performance, and the players know that they have more in the locker. However it was good to get the result against a well organised Rhiwbina outfit, who are well capable of challenging in the Conference this season.
Lippiett and Ashley Gibson were prominent in attack with some great carries. The set piece was solid with props Nathan Jones, Liam Morris and Keegan Bale doing a good job in this area.
Jay Moon was also prominent with his high work rate, and Jack and Robert Carey once again doing well in the wide channels.
